COLORADO SPRINGS - The fastest growing business in Colorado is marijuana shops. And the second fastest growing business in Colorado is the marijuana shop security business.
State authorities report that the security business has increased by 2,000 percent just since January 1, when marijuana became legal to buy in the Rocky Mountain State.
Buster Plywood, who operates The Happy Snow Security Guard Agency, said that he has had to hire 72 more security guards just in the past two weeks.
Plywood said that the pay is fantastic along with great benefits including ski lessons and season tickets to the Denver Broncos games.
He commented that he runs the biggest pot shop security detail in the entire city.
SIDENOTE: Buster Plywood pointed out that his officers are all expertly trained and are armed with pepper spray and taser guns, but he said that the pot shop customers are the most mellow patrons in the entire state.
