New York - A trade union set up specially to cater for the professional needs of bent US lawyers is readying to throw one of its top members to the dogs as New York braces itself for Judge Lewis Kaplan's imminent judgement in the Chevron Rico suit.
Originally a Justice Department offshoot of the notorious Non-Aligned Crack Barons Association of Bogota the legalistic body is meeting this week in a hurriedly convened Star Chamber session to discuss blackballing NYC member Steven Donziger
"He's made us look a right bloody laughing stock," an American Shyster Lawyers Association spokesperson told reporters, "and there's our reputation to think about."
Feckless tosspot Donziger stands to lose more than just his trade union card when decades of his machinations are evaluated by the respected Manhattan Southern District Judge.
"Of course he could always joint fugitive from Julian Assange who's holed up in the Ecuadorian embassy's basement in London," the ASLA source added, "daft idiot probably gagging for a bit of company."
