DENVER - The Colorado Bureau of Births has just issued a press release stating that the Rocky Mountain State has a new leader in regards to the most popular new-born baby girls' name.
Since January 1, 2014, when the new marijuana law went into effect, hospitals throughout Colorado report that the name Mary Jane is now number one in popularity.
The name has surpassed Jennifer, Rachel, and Britney.
The city of Colorado Springs has stated that the first six baby girls born in 2014, were all named Mary Jane.
They also pointed out that out of the first 20 new-born girls, 12 were named Mary Jane, and 4 were named Mari Juana.
SIDENOTE: The Colorado Bureau of Births reported that the first four boys born in Boulder were named Reefer, Potsmond, Weedson, and LeGrasselle.
