PLYMOUTH, Massachusetts - The United States Scuba Diving Commision has just announced an amazing feat achieved by one of its members.
The USSDC stated that member Owen Windowtucker, 52, of Boston has just swum underwater from Plymouth, Massachusetts to Biloxi, Mississippi.
Windowtucker had tried the astounding feat back in April of this year but he had to abandon the attempt after he was bitten on his left little toe by a 17-foot great white shark.
The scuba diver said he was lucky that the injury only required three stitches since the great white could have actually swallowed him hook, line, and sinker as they say in Pensacola, Florida.
Windowtucker said that this time he carried two cans of anti-great white shark repellent which when sprayed in a shark's ears will render it helpless since within 7 seconds it will lose all sense of direction and sink to the ocean floor in anger and frustration.
SIDENOTE: Owen Windowtucker says that now that he has accomplished his U.S. goal he hopes to swim underwater from Plymouth, Massachusetts to Plymouth, England.
