An organization which wants to remove gays from the Boy Scouts of America held its first national conference in Nashville, TN, but allowed no national news media outlets to report on it.
However, one gay person, who managed to convince the organization, Trail Life USA, that he was cured through conversion therapy, covertly reported on the events.
Said the reporter, who wants to remain anonymous, "This organization is an exciting venue for young men of faith who don't want to have anything to do with anyone who is openly and proudly gay. In fact, they are offering a Merit Badge, called the Gender Maintenance Badge, that calls for the young aspirant, among other things, to deflower a virgin before he reaches 18 and to beat up at least one person who is openly homosexual or dresses like a girl."
But a statement from one of the group's organizers disputed this report, contending, "We will be inclusive of boys, regardless of religion, race, national origin or socioeconomic status, and accept boys who are experiencing same-sex attractions or gender confusion. However, we will not admit youth who are open or avowed about their homosexuality, and we will not admit boys who are not 'biologically male' or boys who wish to dress and act like girls."
The spokesperson added, "Although we will not admit youth who are open or avowed about their homosexuality, or boys who are not 'biologically male,' we will allow our young men to beat up these kids, in pursuing their Gender Maintenance Badge, if they show up at our meetings or campouts."
Predictably, Mike Huckabee is expected to profile this new faith group on his popular Fox News Show, The Huckster Speaks.
