WASHINGTON DC (ABSNN) - President Barack Obama revealed his Halloween costume at a Washington DC gala today. The chief executive of the United States entered the White House Press Room dressed as Mitt Romney, dressed as a clown. His costume shocked many DC insiders because, they said, "Everyone knows Obama has a pathological fear of clowns!"
"Yes, I know you are flummoxed, completely and utterly flummoxed, to see me dressed as a clown. But I am doing this to show the entire world that I no longer fear Mitt Romney," the President told the gathered reporters.
"It was very scary just getting into the clown suit," said the President.
"In fact, I passed out each time I looked at myself in the mirror. Mitt Romney is one scary son of a bitch, even out of clown make up. But, eventually, I was able to overcome my childhood loathing and look at the clown on the mirror, without fear, like grown man, instead of a frightened child," Obama said.
Todd Frazier, Head of the Secret Service Presidential Protection Detail, explained the costume came equipped with several safety features.
"Should any national crisis arise while the President is in clown costume, his bright red nose may be used to send the codes necessary to launch nuclear missiles against any aggressors."
"The clown feet also double as helicopter blades," he said.
The President revealed his plan to address the United Nations later this week in his Romney clown suit.
"It is important that the entire world see who they will be facing as President should Romney be elected in November," he said.
However, a Romney win is unlikely according to the latest polls that show Mitt Romney has made only minimal gains, in some swing states, since last week's debate. Exit polling in early elections in nine states show Obama leading Governor Romney by 60%.
ABC's Sam Donaldson asked the President the question every reporter wanted to ask:
"Mr. President, what costume is Mrs. Obama wearing on Halloween?"
"Michelle is going as Taylor Swift," he revealed.
