Gold bars had to be pried from his little hands

Fort Knox - The army reports a dead leprechaun was found in the vault at Fort Knox among the gold bars, according to Colonel Jimbob. The cause of death could not be determined, as leprechauns have never been captured, dead or alive before; their biology is not well known, according to Dr. Killem, who also spoke at the Army press conference.

It was not clear what the leprechaun was doing there. He might have stowed away among the recent gold shipment from Ireland, and then asphyxiated after the vault was seal up, per speculation by Dr. Killem.

A giant rainbow as seen just over the vault the day prior to the body being discovered. Scientists are discounting the "gold at the end of the rainbow" theory.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
