Presidential candidate Rick Perry made what may be the most devastating mistake in the history of this nation last night when he forgot the name of an agency he would eliminate. Or some department or office. Whatever it was, it was a mistake of epic proportions.
News pundits had a field day with the error, and one even likened it to the time when Richard Nixon pulled his pants down and "mooned" John F. Kennedy in a debate in 1960, although they concluded that Perry's mistake was even more embarrassing considering that "he's Republican and thinks he's 'all that'."
For his part, Perry has vowed to fight on with his campaign, even though defeat is almost certain now that he forgot the name of a government organization or committee. Even Mitt Romney, who once broke into a full "chicken dance" during a debate while running for governor, said Perry's mistake was clearly one of the worse mistakes in the history of mankind. He then added "Except for just about anything Howard Dean ever did. What a wipe!"
