An unofficial party held to celebrate the Royal Wedding ended in chaos and disorder in Glasgow on Friday night.

The event, held at Kelvingrove Park, initially went off well as party goers revelled in the sunshine, dancing to the music blaring out of the sound systems and knocking back copious amounts of alcohol.

But the party ended in violence when some of the crowd took exception to a gesture made by one of the Royal party that was picked up on the large TV screen in the centre of the park.

A group of conservation supporters went berserk when one of the wedding guests appeared to make an elephant gesture to the camera which they interpreted as an insult to the great work that the World Worldlife Fund does in saving endangered species.

It emerged later that the alleged "elephant gesturer" was in fact Prince Charles.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
