A couple of foster carers who are not opposed to homosexuality have lost a court case over their right to become Christians.

Eunice and Owen Johns, who hail from Derby, had applied to the city's Pentecostal Church to join their congregation but their case had been referred to the Supremely High Moral Council, made up of 6 of the most senior ministers in the country.

After a 5 minute hearing, SHMC ruled that the couple's "liberal if not downright hedonistic attitude towards the mortal sin that is homosexuality is not compatible with the long established views of our followers.

We have never professed to be an inclusive church and we have no intention of starting now".

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
