Georgie Snuffeloffogos, Head of London's Zoo's Aquarium Department, was a little upset after hearing that England would NOT be hosting the 2018 Football World Cup after losing the bid to Russia.
Georgie said he had started training his Octopus, Michael, after reading all the stories about Paul the Psychic Octopus and all the fuss made over him during the last World Cup.
After his initial disappointment, Georgie has decided to continue his rigorous training with Michael and is confident Michael will be ready by 2018. As an added attraction, he is training Michael to play the bagpipes. He may even be allowed to run 'bets' on the side in order to boost the coffers of the London Zoo.
Georgie has also told us that, if Michael is 'ready' in time, he will introduce him to the public at the 2012 Olympics, to be held in London, and use them as a 'rehearsal' for the 2018 World Cup.
'After all,' added Georgie, I don't want Michael to be an embarrassment in 2018 - that would certainly have the Germans laughing at us.
More as we get it.
