LONDON: The Con-Lib Dem coalition government denied that it was proposing to scrap the 'free-milk' for school kids. PM Cameron's office said it planned to continue giving free milk each school day to children under the age of 5.
Mr.Cameron's spokesperson said there had been "some sort of misunderstanding" in relation to the deep spending cuts the government was proposing.
Downing Street was flummoxed when news reports surfaced about the milk cuts.
Speaking for the Lib Dems Chuck Kennedy said:
"We re proud to announce that not only is the milk program well in place for the under-5s, we will also be introducing a free beer and alcopop program for all 10-15 year-olds for every day they attend school. It's a sort of Rewards program."
