Lib Dem leader Nick Clegg has been put under heavy sedation ahead of the second prime ministerial TV debate.
His colleague Wesley Buxomley-Smythe said Tory-supporting papers were trying to get Mr Clegg drunk, after last week's debate led to a Lib Dem poll boost.
Mr Clegg denies wrongdoing over alcohol, but the Tories say he has a tab to settle.
All three leaders are preparing for the debate on Sky News from 2000 BST. The Daily Flatulence first got wind of the report that Mr Clegg received up to £250 a month from three businessmen in 2006 to fund his wild-man lifestyle.
The Morning Drinker led on comments he made in 2002 about Anglo-German beers and he was also attacked in The Currant Bun and the Daily Sexpress.
