GMTV presenter Kate Garraway has been rushed to hospital following being told that Adrian Chiles was joining the GMTV team. One ITV insider said "She suddenly went very pale, cried out 'No!' and began to vomit uncontrollably. We called an ambulance straight away."
Doctors at St Nye Bevan's in Paddington confirmed that a woman in her thirties had been admitted suffering from suspected Chilesitis. They are hopeful that she will make a full recovery, but they have warned other members of the GMTV team to be wary. "Female television presenters are particularly susceptible to this disease. They suffer a nasty clinging rash and nausea." said Dr Harry Bumburglar.
Adrian Chiles was said to be looking forward to his new job. He has already suggested that a new co- host be found. He has drawn up a short list of one. GMTV have so far denied that they are planning to interview Christine Bleakley.
