Christine Bleakley's biggest fan told a packed press conference this morning that the sudden defection from the BBC by One Show co-presenter Adrian Chiles was nothing to do with the Irish sex symbol.
Who is allegedly 'seeing' Chelsea ace Frank Lampard but keeping very tight-lipped about it.
It was reported that the split between Chiles and the Beeb has been simmering for some time, independent from any chain of events involving Christine Bleakley.
It would appear that Chiles regarded The One Show as his 'baby' and that his involvement in its spectacular evolution could never be overstated enough, but when bosses at the Beeb decided to cash in on the show by bringing in ex-ginger Chris Evans for the prestigious Friday night slot it all proved a step too far for the easygoing Brummie.
This prompted the notorious 'beard protest' with Chiles refusing to shave off a straggly tramp-like beard in protest at the way he was being treated. Now, with Chiles out of the picture, Christine Bleakley is keen to point out that she had no involvement in the chain of events and that she considers Adrian Chiles to be a good mate.
Former Virgin Radio boss and ex-ginger Chris Evans is famous for going out on the piss when he should be at work, and for knocking nails into a table on TGI Friday. With a hammer.
Twilight stars Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart have vowed never to watch The One Show again, as a gesture of support, although that's no great shakes because they never watched it anyway.
They stated that they apportioned no blame for events on Christine Bleakley.
More as we get it.
