A South African woman who eats only soil has been invited to appear on the next series of television programme Freaky Eaters. As a schoolgirl Thuli Malindzi got hooked on eating soil which she claims tastes better than chocolate.
Thuli who is now 22 has been warned by doctors that it is very dangerous to eat soil but some tribes in Africa actually believe that soil has medicinal properties.
There is evidence that people who have been stranded in the wilderness after a plane crash have survived eating snow but how can somebody survive for ten years eating nothing but soil.
The Freaky Eaters team hope to change her eating habits soon.
