This morning's Today programme "interview" of Dark Lord Peter Mangelson has resulted in the Business Secretary being sectioned under the Mental Health Act.
Repeatedly during the interview, the recently created peer interrupted and argued with himself. "Stop it with the cynicism" and "do, please let me finish clarifying my last answer" were some of the cries.
Worried production staff broke into the studio when it was realised that Mangelson was using a ventriloquists' squeaker to simulate an interviewer.
The scheduled interviewer, Evan Davis was missing. He was found on a CIA flight to Guantanamo Bay, apparently at the request of Lord Mangelson's department.
"This is the only way the public will hear the truth" was Mangelson's cry as he was pulled from the studio. "Only by interviewing myself and making the public realise that only my opinion matters can I get to be Prime Minister".
When asked to comment, Prime Minister Gordon Broon buried his head further up his arse and could only mumble "well, Peter is a law unto himself, isn't he".
