The Secretary of State for Health, Anne Adin, has today conceded that British Members of Parliament are likely to be the largest group of professionals to be severely affected by the potential swine flu pandemic.
A leading expert on the affliction, Professor Faye Kreceets, said that they were trying to develop a special vaccine for MPs to prevent them catching the disease.
However Professor Kreceets admitted that this might be quite impossible. She said:
"Unfortunately, MP's have had their snouts in the trough for far too long, and it's only that a major British newspaper exposed the situation that we found out about it at all.
"For all we know, had the expenses scandal not come to light and the MP's kept their snouts in the trough, they could have actually been wiped out altogether.
"Although this might have potentially saved the country millions of pounds, it could have been a little inconvenient."
