A woman was arrested in connection with a spate of knickers thefts from washing lines. Janice Brown was charged with 500 counts of stealing underwear from her neighbour's gardens over the past 2 months.
Ms Brown had only gone for the 'high grade' stuff and none of those off-grey tighty-whiteys, which meant that she avoided Mrs. Dunning from number 53's entirely.
What she was doing with the stolen underwear was quite remarkable: she was making a full-body 'skin' out of them.
She got the idea from watching the film The Silence of the Lambs. She had hoped to wear it to her sisters wedding in August.
