A man who it was suspected, had been murdered and had his body parts scattered far-and-wide in two counties, has been identified by police who are investigating the gruesome finds. However, it now appears that the man may have died from a fall.
The victim, Humphrey Dumpty, of London, may have fallen from a great height, which caused his body to fall apart.
His bits-and-bobs are then thought to have been collected and liberally spread around Hertfordshire and Leicestershire by pranksters.
Mr Dumpty's head was found in a field in Leicestershire, while his torso, left forearm and legs were found in separate locations in Hertfordshire.
Officers investigating the murder have only to find his hands, and parts of his shell.
