A statue to one of the greatest comedy double acts of all time has been unveiled in London. Thousands gathered to an official ceremony in Downing Street.
Brown and Darling have sent many into tears with their hilarious attempts to run the nation's economy. Now their efforts have been recognised.
Ken Diddy unveiled the statue. "It is a great honour to unveil this statue. As someone who has had financial irregularities in the past I fully appreciate that these two were way out in front of me."
Brown and Darling had a simple comedy formula. Brown would dream up a complex and unrealistic solution to the economic problems of the day. Darling would fail to carry out the plan. Brown would then say "That's another fine mess you've got me into Darling." Audiences would weep uncontrollably.
Brown and Darling will now be remembered. Until the next election.
