Former inmates of Spandau prison are to reunite for a special world tour. The tour has come as a surprise but those involved say that it is just what they need right now. Tony Von Hadlei, a former inmate said "Ya, it is true. So true. Funny how it seems." And Martin Kempffer added "This is gold. Indestructible."
The prison once housed some of the most infamous war criminals. Some topped the charts for cruelty. Some have argued that this is a shocking example of cashing in and jumping on band wagons. There is a great deal of anger brewing. The reunion tour may prove to be a failure. Do people really want to be reminded of the dreadful events of the 1980s? Are they not best forgotten? Thousands may suffer as memories of the school disco come flooding back.
The United Nations has called for calm. If the Spandau reunion is starved of publicity a full scale crisis may be averted.
