Following the closing of four restaurants by celebrity chef Antony Worrall Thompson due to the economic climate, the current series of Masterchef has been cut short.
The BBC programme, which is not connected to Mr. Worrall Thompson in any way, is currently half way through the series, but will now jump straight to the final.
Unfortunately, no more contestants could be found who think that slaving away in a ridiculously hot kitchen for twelve hours a day, seven days a week for minimum wage for five years, then begging banks to lend you enough money to open your own restaurant, then working for fifteen hours a day for even less money until the banks foreclose and shut you down, is a good career move for someone who already has a job.
