London - A bogus toilet cleaner accused of not cleaning thousands of toilets, was jailed for more than three years by a court today.
Toddy Mcquire forged his toilet cleaners qualifications and posed as a licensed toilet cleaner for nearly nine years, wiping toilet bowls and seats in London, before being exposed in July 2007, the court heard.
The 57-year-old, described by his defence lawyer as a bloody liar, pleaded not guilty -- and then faked four driving licences for the other defendants waiting trial for driving offences as the judge considered his sentence.
Prosecutor Penny Michel told the New South London district court Mcquire became entangled in a web of deceit and shit that could have had "shitty" consequences for toilet users in London.
Judge Maid Marien noted that Mcquire, as a supervising toilet cleaner, had been checking the toilets of other junior cleaners working in other London locations.
She sentenced Mcquire to three years and 36 months in prison
