Visitor to Cape Breton by the sea, American businessman Heft Adar, suffered irreparable brain damage in his cottage sometime late Tuesday. Early Wednesday morning, Mr. Adar was found in his room in somewhat of a fog. The cottage housekeeper opened the door for room service, who had tried repeatedly to rouse Mr. Adar for his breakfast of Toad in the Hole

Mr. Adar was delighted by his stay in Brighton, by the sea, where the seagulls live! He complimented us on his nosh-up of Bubble and Squeak. Saying, in the States he most frequently had a ploughman's lunch.

Cottage owner Bath Stir said he particularly loved the bangers and bitter. We are going to sorely miss him. He was going to stay two more weeks, but his incident with the tele has unfortunately cut his stay short. American embassy officials said they have him ready to go back to the States where he will begin first grade again after taking the same orientation that immigrants to the USA acquire.

UK televisions operate on a different voltage. The cathode ray tube has a greater electromagnetic field than the televisions sets in the States have for that reason. All British people know not to sit too near the set as Americans regularly do. We try to tell them, but it does no good. Certainly we are not daft enough to sit with our heads almost touching the rear of the set. I mean it is Blatant. But you know even though we love Yanks, they are so blinkered.

Mr. Adar simply was unaccustomed to British tele, failed to consult the cottage room guide, took a seat behind the tube, fell asleep with his head too close to the set and Bob's your uncle!

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
