Hollywood, California - (Ass mess): Ben Affleck has hit back at critics in the wake of his directional debut film Gone Baby Gone being pulled with the news that he's already working on a follow-up movie 'about the bonkers daughter of UK mass-murderer general practitioner Dr Harold Shipman'.
The sequel tells the story of the "copycat killer" gerontologist daughter of UK's worst serial murderer who despatched 'literally hundreds' of his elderly patients with heroin doses.
"Sure hope by the time the movie's released there ain't somethin' horrible coming out of the woodwork in Britain again," Affleck's spokesman said today.
The development follows a Hollywood decision to put Gone Baby Gone on the back-burner after too many similarities in the plotlines with the headline-grabbing story of four year old Maddie McCann who has been missing in Portugal since May 3.
"Some people have all the luck!" was all that former actor turned-director Affleck would say about his directional debut bombing.
