GLASGOW - Wee Companions, a not-for-profit organization that specializes in finding homes for small animals, took in a unique guest on Friday.
A very small human being was left on their doorstep, immediately adjacent to the welcome mat with the motto: Because Every Creature Needs a Companion.
Authorities are unsure who placed the fetus there.
"Obviously the responsible party chose to remain anonymous," remarked the shop owner. "Poor little thing... she's so young... we're not even sure of her ethnicity... fortunately we had an incubator available."
Prior to this incident, the smallest creature taken in by the adoption agency was a meerkat named 'Freckles'.
