News has reached us from the home of retired puppets that Cuddles the Moneky is in a bad way.
Cuddles, famed sidekick of ventriloquist Keith Harris, and erstwhile enemy of comedy duck Orville is said to be looking back on his halcyon days as a beloved figure on BBC1 in the seventies, the eighties and nineties.
Fellow resident Ronald Rat said 'Cuddles has not been his usual self for a while, it is very sad, but I think that it is one of those things that happens to us all.'
Ed the Duck added 'Yes, we have all of that fame heaped on us at an early age, and then nothing'.
