Gerald's toast. Can you see a Picasso there?

Gerald Briggs from Bognor has caused a sensation by claiming that his jar of peanut butter is possessed by the spirit of Pablo Picasso.

He told The Spoof:

"It's bloomin' amazing I bought a new jar of Tescoses own brand and now every time I put some on me toast it sort of smears itself into one of Picasso's famous paintings like.

So far I've had 'Girl in a chemise' and 'Boy with a dog' turn up. I'm astonished quite frankly. I was gonna get them framed but one of my nippers ate 'em. Could've cost me a fortune I reckon"

Art critic, Brian Sewell, commented something or other but because of his preposterously affected upper class accent, we haven't a clue what he was on about.

The Tate modern is believed to have put in a bid for the peanut butter and should it prove successful then an exhibition is planned for the late spring.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
