King of London, Ken Livingstone, is set to extend the area of the congestion charging zone, the controversial area that some say has been a success, from next week.
Speaking on his Mayoral mobile and gridlocked in the middle of a typical London traffic jam, he told The Spoof in that newty voice of his:
"Yes congestion charging has been a huge success for us. We've collected so much dosh that we don't know what to do with it. It's only natural to extend the zone to help ease the flow of traffic in the Capital"
We asked him about the new area and he commented.
"Going east we intend to include Belgium, north will include Scotland and the Hebrides, west to Ireland and possibly taking in the east coast of America and south up to and including Africa"
We expect that this will generate enough money for us to fund virtually every crack-pot scheme in the world"
Jeremy Clarkson host of popular BBC 2 show, Gardener's Question Time, commented:
"This is just another stealth tax on the already beleaguered motorist!"
