Downing Street, London. In a stunning announcement, P M Boris Johnson today tweeted that the United Kingdom would cast its lot with Donald Trump and the North American Free Trade Assoc. rather than make a deal with the European Union when Britain leaves the EU next month.
His decision parallels a tweet by U S President Donald Trump who earlier claimed that the British Isles were geographically part of North America. "Franklin Roosevelt claimed Iceland was in North America and I've found a geographer who says the U K is too. We'd welcome the U K as a neighbor."
"This may actually make a "no deal Brexit" easier for Johnson to sell to Parliament. Surely the Brits have more in common with their English descendants in North America than they have with Slavs, Greeks and Baltics," Trump added.
