Schoolboy wizard, Harry Potter, has been arrested by Police for working a variation on the 'old empty camera scam'.
Anybody too young to remember this textbook bit of conning here's how it goes.
The grifter sets himself up at a holiday destination and sidles up to tourists at dinner, takes their photo and money promising to be back the next day with their likeness on a dinner plate.
The scam is that the camera has no film and the scamster is never seen again.
Chief Inspector Gandalf told us:
"The lad Potter had set up a variety of websites operating from a flat in Pinner. He was taking money in advanced orders for the third and final book in some trilogy or other but get this; there's no book to be seen and no date for when this alleged book is likely to appear.
Potter's currently at a London Police station assisting us with our enquiries"
JK told The Spoof:
"I'm taking the band in a radical new direction with the next album. We're gonna go for a more funky feel and hope the fans will go with us on this"
