Shock news today that hit TV show, Only Fools and Horses, is not in fact about real people.
It has been claimed that it was in fact a sitcom show written by successful TV comedy writer, John Sullivan, and as such was intended to amuse the general viewing public.
Fan of twenty six years, Billy Sadd, told us with tears in his eyes:
"I just can't believe that Del Boy and Rodney were mere figments of someone's imagination. Are you sure? I mean we saw them get up to all them antics with the chandelier and Del falling through the bar and all.
You're pulling my leg aren't you? Go on say you are!"
But when we told Billy that our story was true he just started to bawl his eyes out for five minutes. When he recovered he said:
"What a choker. I can't believe it but I suppose it must be true if you say so. Next you'll be telling me that Boycie, Marlene, Granddad and Trigger are made up too!"
We hadn't the heart to distress him further so just pointed at him and laughed a bit.
The Vicar of Dibley wasn't available for comment today but top dessert exec, Reggie Perrin, said:
"Ten minutes twenty two seconds late. Cattle crossing the line at London Bridge"
