Dr Dawn Break, the famous sleep disorder therapist, has announced an incredible discovery that will revolutionise the scientific approach to sleep disorders.
'The main discovery' she told our Scientific correspondent Joe Wink 'is in how to get people with insomnia problems to sleep.'
It appears that vast numbers of people who cannot get to sleep are being cured by listening to discussions about Brexit! 'It bores them to sleep' advised Dr Break 'we have found the solution to one of the main problems of modern society.'
The only worry is that when the whole Brexit debate is over people who have benifitted from many hours of sleep will revert to their previous insomnia.
Dr Break is setting up studies to see if another subject could take over when Brexit is settled. There are several possibilities - 0-0 draws in football matches look promising and repeats of repeats of repeats on television have been helpful to some insomniacs.
Dr Break is requesting through our columns for other promising avenues to research into but she fears nothing can get near to competing with the sleep inducing qualities of a Brexit debate.
