London, England Upon the news that Trump was the Republican Party's candidate, the party that continually controls the Legislative Branch of Congress, many Brits recalled the London Mirror's fateful headline reporting the re-election of U.S. President Bush.
Bush, Jr., in case you forgot everything but the shoe-throwing incident, was the man who led the country into its most repressive laws with the Patriot Act, two unnecessary wars for false reasons, and ignored all the warnings about terrorists prior to the 9/11 attacks in New York. (Bush had yet to preside over the Stock Market Crash and Government Money Giveaway of 2008 when he won in 2004).
Britons are probably more worried about Americans electing Trump than they are about Putin or North Korea.
