A late night tweet by Dr. Bernard-Fortesque-SmallPeace of the Council for the Rehabilitation of Bloodsucking Creatures, labelling tapeworms as good for nothing parasites has upset the Society for for symbiotic organism equality.
Dr. Fortescue-Smallpeace told our reporter that he was handing in his resignation as it seemed that to call a parasite a parasite was now politically incorrect:
"It would appear that I now have to call them independently challenged invertebrate organisms.
"In my opinion they are fucking parasites and always will be parasites. They never work, always scrounge food from hosts and generally do nothing.
"I know there are good parasites and bad parasites and if there is no work for them what can they do, but tapeworms are real badasses."
