Reigning President Sepp Blatter was re-elected unopposed to the post and the 75 year old Swiss lost no time in tightening his grip on the association.
The 4th termer, who has been under severe pressure in recent weeks due to claims of bribery and corruption at all levels, took advantage of his coronation and immediately sacked the current presidents of the 6 confederations - Asia, Africa, South America, Oceania, Europe and Concacaf (North America, Central America and the Caribbean).
To add insult to injury, he's cocked a snook at the world's press and the few dissenters in FIFA by appointing to the confederation presidencies none other than his brothers - Sapp, Sipp, Sopp, Supp, Sypp and Heinrich.
