England Under 21 coach Stuart Pearce, whose contract ends after this year's European championships, has been offered another 2 year deal.
The Football Association is happy to offer Pyscho the deal after he coached the side to the European Championship final in 2009, when they were defeated 4-0 by Germany.
Although Pearce has not yet accepted the offer, the signs are promising.
The former Man City boss commented :
"I am seriously considering the offer from the FA.
"Since I took the job in 2007, I have enjoyed it immensely. Being understudy to Steve McLaren and then Fabio Capello, I feel privileged to have been involved with a national side that constantly defies predictions and under achieves in every major tournament.
"I look forward to helping that trend to continue".
