Almost 9 months after the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, the fall out from England's woeful displays rumbles on.
Over 800 complaints have been made after a control centre technical fault led to ITV HD viewers being shown a car advert instead of Steven Gerrard's goal in the 1-1 draw with the United States on June 12.
An anonymous source has however revealed that more than 3.5 million e mails have also been received from fans, complaining that the car advert should have been allowed to stay on screen for the remainder of England's campaign.
