A Pot - Like What They Used To Make In Stoke.

Stoke City's Britannia Stadium certainly lived up to its billing as the Premier League's noisiest arena as the Manchester United roadshow swept into town.

A pulsating encounter saw United take the lead courtesy of a spectacular back-header by United's Mexican youngster, Javier Hernandez, also known as Chicharito - the little pea.

Both sides took to their tasks with spirited endeavour, and with Stoke City, desperately trying to claw their way into a game which was by no means beyond them, a stroke of magic from Turkish substitute, Tuncay levelled the scores.

Cutting in from the right, Tuncay changed direction and launched a blistering drive past a stretched Edwin Van Der Saar and into the far top corner.

United then appeared to lose their way for a spell as Stoke City set about giving them a right mauling. With full time approaching, it was Chicharito again, scoring from close range to send the United fans massed behind the goal into a state of ecstasy.

Indeed, one fan was so ecstatic that he decided to join the players in the goal celebrations. The fan, a burly chap in a grey jumper proved quite problematic for stewards to remove.

"He were a right big bugger and he took some shiftin'" a steward told us.

Chicharito was awarded the Man Of The Match traditional bottle of bubbly by Gary Neville. Who was substituted in a bizarre incident at the resumption of the second half. Having been yellow carded. Sir Alex Ferguson probably didn't want the silly bugger to get sent off.

More as we get it.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
