England manager, Fabio Capello, has declared that the reason England were so terrible at the World Cup was because the players were tired.
This excuse has as much impact as when I used it at school or at work to explain away poor performances.
The excuse was met with scepticism, bordering disbelief. Anything from 'I know what you have been up to!' to 'You lazy sod' were the only remarks I can pass on to readers of this august internet journal.
Likewise, Capello has an uphill task convincing many people that he has ended the specualation about him continuing as England manager. His case has not been helped by avoiding an exclusive interview with your correspondent by locking himself in his small detached house.
As resignation is not anticipated the FA have been debating whether to change there long term policy of 'Fuck All'.
Betting on a Capello replacement is growing and our Harry is top of the pole. Despite some dodgy moments Rednapp has a pretty good record. He is a member of 'The Family' so his chances of making it with the England squad should be good. His status as an ex-West Ham manager should help, as the bulk of his team should also be present or ex West Hammers.
Other contestants for the post are numerous and range from the real Fergie (Man Utd) to the ridiculous Sven Agen.
I could go on with this but I'm feeling too tired.
