Tiger Woods' caddie Steve Williams has made an extraordinary claim to friends in New Zealand that his employer "tried it on" with him during the US Masters in Augusta in 2008.
Williams said that he had had a good relationship with the golfer up until that point, but had given no indication that he was 'interested' in Woods, and the approach had come as "a shock".
The incident happened during the last round of the 2008 tournament with Woods leading by two strokes going into the final nine holes. The world number one hooked a drive into trees at the tenth, and, as he and Williams searched for the ball, the Kiwi claims he felt something touch his bottom, and turned to find a grinning Woods stood with his penis in his hand.
Williams said earlier:
"He said he wanted to bum me, but the thing is, there wasn't time."
