David Beckham is set to be recalled to the England squad by manager Steve McClaren after a series of pathetically bad performances by England.
McClaren had this to say, "Look, I don't even think he's all that good, don't get me wrong, he's pretty and I'd buy anything he was wearing in an ad, I just don't think he's that good a footballer. However, the media want him back and, seeing as I have no original ideas of my own, I'm going to listen to them."
If England still fail to qualify for Euro 2008, and they still have to come up against the might of Estonia, they will lose an estimated Hundred Million pounds. However, even an under performing Beckham will sell shirts and other merchandise meaning that the loss will not hit as hard.
"It's a real honour to again play for the country that so easily spurned me." said Beckham "It's been fantastic to see England do so badly without me... please don't print that last bit."
