San Francisco, CA.The rattling and rolling out West may soon get worse!
Until their current streak of eight wins in the last 10 games, the San Francisco Giants were reportedly facing removal from the National League West. That the temporary .800 win percentage can reverse the likelihood of the team's demotion to the California league is doubtful.
After winning three World Series championships early in this decade, the Giants have fallen on hard times, remaining at or near the bottom of the division. Their likely replacement, the Cucamonga Quakes, have consistently placed at or near the top of the California league.
"Speaking of quakes," said one unidentified sports writer, "we've been waiting for the big one here in California. If this earthshaking move takes place, it'll be the biggest one 'Frisco has felt since 1906. The 'Quakes' got their nickname because of all the shaking near Cucamonga. This shakeup will be the biggest one they've felt."
