DETROIT - Detroit Tigers slugger Miguel Cabrera was all smiles as he had just learned that the Tigers had agreed to give him a contract extension.
Detroit General Manager Dave "Moneybags" Dombrowski informed the sports media that the 30-year-old first baseman's contract was extended for 10 years at $29.2 million per year.
Dombrowski commented that the Tigers organization is also giving him a fully loaded 2014 Lamborghini, two 2014 Cadillac Escalade SUV's, and a brand new double decker bus imported from London, England.
The native of Venezuela, who wears number two on his baseball shirt, is definitely number one in the salary department.
When asked what he plans on doing with all that money Miggy smiled and said that he might see about buying a big part of his beloved country; Venezuela.
He also pointed out that he wants to see about possibly purchasing Arizona's Grand Canyon, New York City's Central Park, and one or two Tacos, Tacos, and Mucho More Tacos Restaurants in downtown Detroit.
SIDENOTE: Miguel told Zorro La Bamba with The Sports Bet Gazette that he plans to donate a nice size amount of money to the bankrupt city of Detroit.
