LOS ANGELES - The Los Angeles Lakers fans have been waiting patiently for their superstar Kobe Bryant to return to the Staples Center and the NBA's greatest ball hog finally did.
But since his triumphant return complete with a fist bump from Coach Mike D'Antoni, kisses from the Laker Girls cheerleaders, and a chest bump from Jack Nicholson nothing has really changed as the boys in purple and gold are still losing.
The Lakers are now 10-11 and it really doesn't look like Mr. Bryant was ready to return from his achilles heel tear injury.
Many Laker fans fear that in his rush to get back on the court he could end up reinjuring his foot and that could very well put an end to Kobe's roundball career.
Teammate Pau Gasol said that Kobe just doesn't realize how serious his injury really is. He pointed out that Kobe has always felt that all he needs to do is take a Tylenol and everything will fix itself.
SIDENOTE: A long time dedicated Lakers fan Wallace Bluxer, 64, from Tarzana noted that it's a darn good thing that Kobe Bryant isn't a horse.
