AUBURN, Alabama - The number 4 ranked Auburn Tigers were not the least bit intimadated by the likes of the top ranked Alabama Crimson Tide as they upset Bama 34-28.
With the game tied and with just seconds to go the Tide tried a field goal. It was missed but Auburn's Chris Davis caught it and ran it back 100 yards for a game-winning touchdown.
Rufus Reno with Sports Balls Illustrated Daily said that it was amazing that not one Alabama player even touched the fleet-footed Davis.
A Bama cheerleader was overheard to say that it's like the Crimson Tide players got tired and started thinking about having dinner and drinking Dr. Peppers.
Reno said that from the press box he could actually see hundreds of Tide fans moaning, groaning, and getting sick to their stomachs.
One long time Tide fan, Henrietta Smackdibber, 61, remarked as she left Jordan-Hare Stadium that her 84-year-old aunt, Beulah Beth Butterview could have tackled Davis, and she's in a walker.
Meanwhile the Auburn fans were heard chanting "bam bam Bama the banjo has been de-stringed."
