EAST RUTHERFORD, New Jersey - Several New York Giants players say that Louisiana voodoo woman Madam Lottie Jo Lafayette came through for them as she put a hex on the Minnesota Vikings who fell to the Giants 23-7.
Giants Coach Tom Coughlin was asked by Rufus Reno with Sports Balls Illustrated Daily how much the Giants organization had paid Madam Lafayette.
He shook his head and simply said that it was not for him to say, but the fee was up in the five figures.
Several Vikings players when told about the magic spell that the Giants had paid to have cast on them replied that they are going to suggest that the Vikings management call up NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell and file a formal complaint.
Giants quarterback Eli Manning heard about it and remarked that there is nothing written anywhere in the NFL Rules and Regulations Manual that states that a team cannot hire the services of a voodoo woman.
SIDENOTE: Reports out of Jacksonville, Florida are that the Jaguars ownership whose team is 0-7 plans to call up the New York Giants organization so that they can get Madam Lottie Jo Lafayette's cell phone number.
