NEW YORK CITY - The Major League Baseball Coalition on Drug Testing has just informed all MLB umpires that in 2014, before the start of the preseason they will be tested for PEB's.
A representative with the MLBCDT Harrison Blittkinboro, 51, told the sports media that this matter was decided after a group of MLB players threatened to sue MLB on grounds of job discrimination.
A Philadelphia Phillies relief pitcher who did not want his name revealed said that he and others personally felt that it was not right that players are tested while umpires are not.
He pointed out that he has personally seen several umpires in the team clubhouse without their shirts on and they looked like former major leaguers Barry Bonds, Jose Canseco, and Sammy Sosa.
SIDENOTE: The Umpires union has expressed concern at the fact that MLB is allowing a handful of rogue players to dictate to it what it needs to be doing. They have hired the legal services of famed Left Coast attorney Ginger Allred to represent them.
