NEW YORK CITY - Word coming out of YankeeLand is that the 2014 version of the New York Yankees are going to be changing their pinstriped uniforms.
Lansing R. Carterfelt a spokesperson for the Yankees organization stated that the Steinbrenner family feels that the old design has run its course and it is time to update the team's uniform.
He said that the new uniforms will be replacing the old pinstripes with pictures of a bat, a ball, and a glove.
Carterfelt stated that lots of consideration was given to the proposed change but in the end it was decided to go through with the change which will fast forward the Bronx Bombers into the modern day era.
The team has already decided that they will be putting all of the old pinstriped uniforms on eBay so that Yankee fans can have a bit of baseball nostalgia.
Several people have expressed their displeasure with the new change but Carterfelt was quick to say that it is what it is.
SIDENOTE: The Yankees organization has decided to allow President Obama and Vice-President Biden to each pick a uniform that they would like to have as a keepsake.
